Creative and therapeutic support for schools and organisations
The Unfolding offers creative and therapeutic support for schools and organisations, using art psychotherapy and creative approaches to support emotional wellbeing, self-expression and connection. I work with children, young people and adults, including neurodivergent individuals and those who may find it difficult to express their thoughts and feelings through words alone. Services are tailored to the needs of each setting, creating opportunities for people to explore, connect and develop through creative experiences.
Art Psychotherapy for schools
Art psychotherapy to support children and young people who may be experiencing emotional, social or behavioural difficulties, anxiety, trauma or challenges with school attendance.
Through creative expression, children can explore feelings and experiences in a way that doesn't rely solely on words. Art psychotherapy can support emotional regulation, self-understanding, confidence and relationships.
I work collaboratively with schools to develop therapeutic support that responds to the individual needs of each child. This may include individual sessions or group work, depending on the setting and referral.
Creative therapeutic support for adults
Creative approaches can offer meaningful opportunities for expression, connection and emotional support, particularly when communication through words is difficult.
This work includes adults with additional needs and older people in residential, care and community settings. Individual or group-based activities can be developed around the people taking part and the environment in which they live or work.
Creative workshops and wellbeing
Creative workshops and group activities designed to support emotional wellbeing, self-expression, connection and creativity.
Sessions can be tailored to different ages, abilities and needs, using a range of creative materials and approaches. They can be delivered in schools, community settings and other organisations.
Whether you're looking for a one-off creative workshop, a series of sessions or an ongoing programme, we can develop something that works for your setting and the people you support.
Working Together
Every setting and group has different needs. I work collaboratively with schools and care homes to understand their priorities and develop creative, therapeutic approaches that are appropriate for the people they support. Whether you're looking for individual art psychotherapy, group work or a creative workshop, we can discuss your requirements and explore what might work best.
